Collie is a personal AI that lives on your computer, free, open source (MIT), and happy to work with the accounts you already have. No credit card, no monthly fee, and your conversations stay on your machine. A Collie account is optional. Sign in only if you want to.

  • What you need: A ChatGPT (OpenAI) account, free or paid.
  • How it works: In Collie, choose “Sign in with OpenAI”, approve in your browser, and that’s it.

Use a key

A key is a short secret code an AI company gives you so Collie can use their models for you. You paste it into Collie once, and it stays on your computer.

Get a key from any of these

Copy the key from the provider's page, paste it into Collie, and you're done.

Or run a model on this computer

Collie can use models that run entirely on your PC (Ollama is the common way), so nothing ever leaves your machine. It's the most private option, but it needs a capable computer, setup is a bit more hands on, and the model won't be quite as sharp as the big cloud ones.
