Privacy, in plain English.

Effective date: August 1, 2026

Collie is designed to be local first. This page explains what the website and early access list collect, what stays on your Windows device, and when information may leave it because you choose to use a connected model provider.

What this covers

This policy covers heycollie.com, the Collie early access waitlist, and our support and security contact channels. The desktop alpha is separate software that runs on your Windows device; its behavior may change as we test and improve it.

Information we collect

When you join the early access list, we collect the email address you submit and the signup source used to understand how you found us. If you contact us, we collect the information you include in your message so we can reply and help.

We use Supabase to store early access signups. We do not ask you to put passwords, API keys, or other secrets in the waitlist form or support email.

How we use it

  • Invite people to early access and send relevant release updates.
  • Respond to support, privacy, and security messages.
  • Understand whether the waitlist and website are working.
  • Protect the site and list from abuse.

We do not sell waitlist contact details.

Collie on your computer

Collie is designed so its working state, conversations, and files stay on your Windows device by default. If you choose to connect a model provider, Collie may send the prompts and relevant context needed for that request to that provider. That provider's terms and privacy practices apply to the data you send to it.

Only connect services or share content that you are allowed to use with Collie. Early access may include changes while we verify behavior and safeguards.

Choices, access, and leaving the waitlist

You can ask what waitlist information we hold about you, correct it, or ask us to remove you from the list. Until self service controls are available, email hello@heycollie.com. We process removals manually.

Retention and security

We keep waitlist and correspondence information only as long as needed for the purposes above, unless a longer period is required to address a legal obligation or security issue. We use reasonable safeguards for the small amount of information we hold, but no online service can promise absolute security.

Changes and contact

We may update this page as Collie changes. If we make a material change, we will update the effective date here. Questions about privacy can be sent to hello@heycollie.com.
